Dunkirk-Letters and Recollections of Veterans.

During the years which it has taken us to assemble the collection, it has been our pleasure to come into contact with a number of Dunkirk veterans and to learn of their experiences. Where possible we have attempted to record these recollections in the form of transcripts or audio recordings and a sample are included within the exhibition. In addition we have acquired various first-hand accounts in the form of personal correspondence or letters exchanged with researchers. Again a number of these are reproduced in this section. If you have a first-hand account of the events of Dunkirk or the wider 1939-40 period which you wish to share with us, please use the contact page to get in touch.
