Propaganda Leaflet Dropped by Luftwaffe on French Troops

Propaganda leaflet dropped by German aircraft after the Belgian surrender on the 28th May 1940.

A rough translation of the first page is as follows:

French! The Belgian army has capitulated.

More than 500,000 soldiers have deposited their arms. What for?

As the Poles in Poland, the Norwegians in Norway, the French and the Belgians in France and Belgium had the honor of holding the positions so that the English had time to retreat. Belgian soldiers refuse to shed their blood for the exclusive purpose of allowing those responsible for any disaster to flee as usual. Belgian soldiers fought bravely up to the point when they realised that to spare the lives of the English, they had to sacrifice themselves in the most senseless way! It is no different for you, French? English arms dealers want the war to last at least three to five years. The people, however, want peace. Each of you will better serve himself and his country by living for France rather than by dying for England!
