The Halifax Collection

These badges were collected by a young schoolboy in Halifax, West Yorkshire, from troops who had been evacuated from Dunkirk. Halifax was one of several locations across the country used as rest and recuperation centres and for the re-grouping of Army units. The badges are for the following units, Royal Artillery, Royal Corps of Army Ordnance, Leicestershire Regiment, West Yorkshire Regiment and the Lancashire Fusiliers.
