Shot down by Hurricanes of No. 257 Squadron in an attack on Andover, this aircraft crashed and exploded at Great Ham Farm, Sidlesham, West Sussex at 4.35pm. The crew of four were all killed and were interred at St Andrews Church, Tangmere.

This is a large part of the riveted aluminium skin of the aircraft, which was subsequently recovered from the crash site. The bulk of the artefacts recovered from this aircraft are in the Tangmere Aviation museum.
Crew: Major Alfons Scheuplein, Obltn zur See Karl-Wilhelm Brinkbaumer, Gefr Josef Dietl and Gefr Otto Roger – all killed.
