German Oxygen Bottle

Luftwaffe oxygen bottle dated 1938, washed up in the 1980's on the shoreline between Deal and Dover.

The precise aircraft is not known, but the probability is that this is from a bomber aircraft lost during the Battle of Britain period. German bombers typically carried multiple oxygen cylinders in the mid-fuselage section to provide oxygen to the crew when flying at altitude.
