Effectively his military passbook and records, this document shows he was a resident of Deurne, a district of Antwerp. Born in 1917, his military service commenced with the 6th Infantry Regiment of the Line in 1936, before transferring to the 5th Regiment in 1937. The last entry in the book indicates that he reported to the 5th Linieregiment, Company Depot at Antwerp on the 8th December 1939.
