Russian SSH-36 Helmet

SSh-36 steel helmet of the Soviet Red Army.
This was the standard-issue helmet for Soviet forces in the Khalkin Gol campaign against the Japanese in 1939, the Winter War against Finland in 1939-40 and the 1939 invasion of eastern Poland. The large front rim and wide flares over the ears provided good protection for the wearer. The comb on top of the helmet provided ventilation.
