Deutschland Erwacht (Germany Awakes) was first published in 1933. It was a curious mix of a quality publication combined with a cigarette card collection album.
It was the first such publication produced by the Nazis following their election in the same year.
Early examples had a brown cover, with later editions being red with a white spine; over two million were printed.
The content covers the initial 'struggles' of the Nazis through to election victory and offers some fascinating examples of the art of propaganda.
Our example is the later red cover edition and has a total of 151 pages plus a giant pull-out panoramic image (contained inside the back cover) of the 1933 rally.
